Aashram is an original Hindi drama series on MX player, directed by the acclaimed director Prakash Jha. The show revolves around a Baba Nirala, played by Bobby Deol. The First 2 seasons of the web series were appreciated a lot by users and it gave a big mileage to Mx Player’s OTT platform. However, the users are very curious about Aashram Season 3 release date and what can possibly happen in the new season.
For the uninitiated, Baba Nirala’s followers have blind faith in him and are ready to do anything he says. Baba Nirala on the other hand is a conman. He convinces his devotees to give him wealth and to continue staying in Aashram for life. Darshan Kumar, who plays the cop Ujagar Singh in this show, is determined to find the truth behind the skeletons and dead bodies found on the property of Aashram.
The show unfolds an unsolved mystery around Baba Nirala. The fans are confused if Ashram Season 3 will thicken the mystery or will Ujagar Singh finds the evidence and proves everything. The episodes of the second chapter of Aashram were aired on the 11th of November 2020, on MX Player.
The second chapter of ‘Aashram’ was aired in August 2020, the fans of the show are already desperately waiting for the season 3 release. Aashram was an instant hit when it first premiered, it had around 100 million views in just 5 days.
Aashram 3 Release Date
Recently Bobby Deol talked about the release date of season 2 in an interview with Bollywood Life. Bobby revealed that the shooting for the next season will start in April 2021 and we should be able to watch the next season in 2021 itself.
He said that the crew as well as MX Player are keen to release the next season as early as possible as the fans are growing impatient. However, he didn’t commit to any date as there are multiple factors that can cause delays. The fans can only hope that the third season drops soon.
Prakash Jha, In his show Aashram, shows a very satirical point of view that is around the self-proclaimed Godmen with thoughts crossing – In the show, the story revolves around a Baba. There is a fictional aspect to the show, yet the majority of the story is actually inspired by the activities of self-proclaimed Godman, Gurmeet Ram Rahim.

The cast of Aashram Season 3
1. Bobby Deol
Bobby Deol has given one of his finest performances playing Baba Nirala. He also won the Dada Saheb Falke Award for the Best Actor in a Web Series recently for his role as Baba Nirala in Aashram.
Baba Nirala has a strong influence on the less privileged of society. He stands with them and they consider him as their savior giving him strong leverage on the political power play in the state. However, things start to change quickly when a skeleton in the forest land near Aashram, disturbing his peace.
It becomes all the more complicated with the upcoming state elections as power equations change rapidly against and back in favor of Baba.
2. Adhyayan Suman
Adhyayan plays the rockstar Tinka Singh who often visits Baba. Tinka Singh was instrumental in expanding Nirala Baba’s followership in the youth.
3. Darshan Kumar
He was in Mary Kom, and in the show Avrodh and The F Man. He plays a cop, Ujagar Singh who is very ‘diligent and sharp’ for a police officer. He is convinced that the Baba is behind all the crimes.
4. Aaditi Pohankar
Additi made her debut with the movie Love Sex Aur Dhokha and was also seen as the lead in the web series ‘She’ on Netflix. She plays Pammi in the show Aashram.
5. Sachin Shroff
Sachin plays Hukum Singh, a politician and ex-Chief Minister, in the series. Hukum Singh’s character is shown as a confused politician who is at his wit’s end to find his way back to power. He finally strikes a deal with Baba Nirala and he wins the next election but not without several moments of uncertainty where he wasn’t sure of Baba Nirala’s motive.
6. Vikram Kochhar
Vikram is playing Sadhu Singh, a policeman who teams up with Ujagar Singh to expose Baba Nirala. He has appeared in other web series like; Little Things, Inside Edge, and Sacred games.
7. Chandan Roy Sanyal
Chandan has appeared earlier in Bollywood and Tollywood movies and has marked a place for himself. However, the character of Bhopa Swami has left an indelible impression of his performance in the minds of all Aashram fans. He’s not only the second most influential character on the web series but also someone who pulls the audience back to watch the series. Some fans probably love Bhopa Swami more than Baba Nirala.
