Akshay Kumar’s Sooryavanshi release to be the biggest Post-COVID

Sooryavanshi, a film by Rohit Shetty is now a year late in theatres. the release date is not final as of now but it is set for a summer May-June 2021 release. Sources say that the producers and Akshay Kumar are in agreement on a quick release. Sooryavanshi release is expected in the mid of the 2021.

“Any further delay can only cause harm to the product’s performance. A year is a long time to wait. They now need to take a call on a Summer release.” Rohit Shetty is also in an agreement on the new release strategy. He is also a co-producer on Sooryavanshi.

The source says that Rohit Shetty and Reliance Entertainment who are co-producers on the project have decided that they would go about doing the biggest post-Covid release in India in May-June with approximately 2,000 prints across India. They’re hoping Sooryavanshi will bring the audience back into theatres.

Even as the unlock has started throughout the country, it is still difficult to get the audiences back into the theatres. So considering this, it will be a challenge for all movies to get back on track. Sooryvanshi, has the most epic cast of all time, with the combination of Akshay Kumar and Rohit Shetty is expected to turn the tides.

Akshay Kumar to work for the first time with Rohit Shetty. Similarly, Sooryavanshi is the first movie where Katrina Kaif is working with Rohit Shetty.

The movie also features return of Gulshan Grover as the lead villain after a long time.

Akshay Kumar has done his own stunts, one involving hanging from a helicopter.

Interestingly, the movie was announced in 2018 in the end credits of another Supercop movie ‘Simmba’ from Rohit Shetty’s stable.
