Elon Musk’s reaction to becoming the richest person is ‘Strange’, literally.
If you know Elon Musk then this isn’t going to surprise you but if you don’t then this is perhaps one of the best examples to understand how he behaves and about the motivations in his life.
He is always in news, although on 7th Jan 2020, he was in the news because he became the richest person on the planet. His response was as unpredictable as Elon Musk mostly is.
You’d expect anyone to acknowledge the fact that one has become the richest person on the Earth and to thank customers, investors, employees, countrymen, parents, wife (wives in the case of Elon Musk). And that one would make a promise to keep going the same way, to not let people down and to continue to serve humanity etc but Elon Musk didn’t do any of it.

Elon Musk is a workaholic who works for 14-16 hours a day and his real motivation is his work and not money. He has more wealth than he’ll probably ever put to use and therefore money has stopped exciting him.
He took bigger risks than almost every entrepreneur in the industry today, he’s built companies in the fields that not many have even thought of venturing into and that shows that he doesn’t really believe in comparisons with others and hence the numero uno tag also didn’t excite him.
While it was so ElonMusk-ish to say “Well, back to work…” within 1 minute of the previous tweet acknowledging that he’s become the World’s richest person, others found it to be really amusing.
Netizens and memers moved swiftly to make the best use of this opportunity. Before you could ratify the news, the memes started flooding the internet.
