The president of the United States doesn’t hold back on Twitter and has gotten rid of any sort of filter long ago. Even though it seems that he has left thinking to his fingers, his fingers seem to be churning incredible, senseless, and, more often than not, offensive tweets. If there is some thought that you will be left with after reading these tweets it’d be “What on this planet is his PR team is doing.”
It was a hard choice for us to come up with the worst tweets since all his tweets compete for that title of being the worst. But we did finish the job and here’s our pick of Trump’s worst tweets so far.
The infamous ‘covfefe’ tweet
This is the tweet that broke the internet. Although Trump deleted it the next morning, it spawned endless memes and left us with a lot of questions. What was Trump trying to say? Did he fall asleep mid tweet? Did he make up a new word? Looks like we will never find out.
Trump becomes a gossip writer
In one of his more bizarre tweets, Trump offered relationship advice. It seems like someone forgot about a stormy relationship with Stormy Daniels!
Trump calls for his own ‘imbleachment’, urges citizens to drink disinfectant
OK. This one didn’t happen on Twitter but it is worth mentioning here. Trump has been known to spout insane stuff, but this one really takes the cake. As a wacky ‘cure’ for the coronavirus, he told people on live TV that they should inject themselves with bleach or fill their entire body with UV light. He later backtracked saying it was a prank on reporters — a prank that risked the lives of mindless supporters and caused the CDC, Lysol, and health experts to issue statements vehemently warning citizens against ingesting bleach. Trump later tweeted this, although the US has one of the poorest testing rates and is far from ‘opening up’ anytime soon.
Trump says China created global warming
So scientists have been getting it wrong the whole time! Though we do wonder, how exactly can a country create a global environmental phenomenon? Trump’s selective memory made an appearance as he tweeted this the very next day after the previous one!

Trump leaks classified information
Trump tweeted about a sudden explosion that occurred at the Imam Khomeini Space Center in Iran’s Semnan province. What’s horrifying about this tweet is that it included a high-resolution aerial image of a launch pad captured by a US surveillance satellite that had been given to him as part of a classified intelligence briefing and was not intended for release. Phew!
Trump plays weatherman — incorrectly, of course
With Hurricane Dorian zeroing in on the southeastern US seaboard at the start of September, Trump tweeted to warn citizens of four states that they could get hit. But one of them, Alabama, was not in the path of the storm at all.
To cover up for his faux-pas Trump kept tweeting for a few days, insisting that he was right all along. He even presented a hurricane map from the Oval Office that he appeared to have doctored himself to loop in Alabama.
No one is surprised at Trump’s blatant objectification of women
Misogyny isn’t new to Trump but this time he went way beyond calling a woman ugly, fat, incompetent, or nervous. He deleted the tweet after some time but Twitterati had enough screenshots as proof. A researcher at Snopes verified that Trump did tweet these atrocious words for Hillary.
