The principles of Ayurveda, one of the oldest traditional medical systems, are based on five elements known as the “Pancha tanmatra,” which include sound (shabda), touch (sparsha), vision (roopa), taste (rasa), and smell (gandha). It helps the contractile movement of muscles in the digestive system, reduces gas accumulation, and promotes food movement.
