Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Players Want MW 2019 Operators Back

Fans of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 have taken to Reddit to demand that previous Operators from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 return in 2019. Although Modern Warfare 2 debuted with an impressive roster of 25 operators, including Task Force 141’s iconic combatants Ghost and Soap MacTavish, fans are hoping to play as fan favorites like Wyatt and Mara. While neither Activision nor Infinity Ward has made an official statement, there may be some hope for fans hoping to see their favorite operators return.

More about Call of Duty MW 2019 Operators

Call of Duty fans regards Soap, Ghost, and Captain Price as the Modern Warfare series’ poster boys. Still, it’s easy for players to become attached to specific operators after countless hours spent in multiplayer matches and in Call of Duty: Warzone. Players have had the opportunity to play as a wide range of operators, each with its own distinct design and characteristics. Some even have their backstory linked to the Modern Warfare storyline.

On Reddit, Modern Warfare 2 players expressed their desire to see fan-favorite Australian Warcom operator Jackson Wyatt return in future updates. Wyatt is currently on the Call of Duty Mobile operator roster, but players noticed Wyatt’s portrait in Modern Warfare 2 operator Kleo’s skin selection last week. It’s possible that Wyatt’s image foreshadows his return, but others on Reddit have suggested that it could simply be a placeholder.

While players must wait to see if Wyatt will return in Modern Warfare 2, it has been confirmed that one popular operator will be making a return. Mara first appeared in Modern Warfare 2 and quickly became one of the game’s most popular operators. Alex Zedra, the actress who plays Mara, revealed the news in a TikTok video, saying, “I can officially say that yes, Mara will be making a return for Modern Warfare 2.” There has been no official word on when Mara will be back.

Despite the numerous bugs that players have encountered in recent weeks, Activision’s launch of Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 has been a huge success. Warzone 2.0 attracted over 25 million players in the first five days of its release and currently has a peak player count of 488,897, which was reached last month. Activision clearly has another behemoth on its hands. Farah has already returned as an operator in Modern Warfare 2, so the next logical step is to respond to fan demand and reintroduce old operators to build on Warzone 2.0’s success.
