In a nutshell, sweeteners, whether artificial or natural will show their effects eventually. In addition to this, prolonged consumption of artificial sweeteners can cause other health risks.

When following a diet plan, you should prefer 1-2 whole eggs instead of having too many egg whites. If you eat many egg whites after your gym routine, take note of this – the yolk also has amino acids that help you in bodybuilding. To sum it up, do not throw away the yolk unless your nutritionist has advised you do so specifically.

Both oil and ghee are commonly used in Indian cuisines and many tend to follow the rule of not consuming much ghee and oil when you are on a diet which is totally not true. Not all oils are bad. Ghee and natural oils extracted from coconut, mustard, olive, canola etc are polyunsaturated fats that do not add to your weight.

As a matter of fact, replacing saturated cooking oil with coconut oil, ghee, olive oil, canola oil etc helps in weight reduction. This is because your body is able to burn the polyunsaturated fat relatively easily. So you can go for oils mentioned above or ghee without hesitation.

Many people tend to give up after trying for a few days and go for modern shortcuts to lose weight. The quick and convenient path to weight loss promised by the Diet pills is riddled with complications. It is always harmful to take medications until you really them and diet pills are one of them.

Not only does it affect your body but it can also affect your heart or increase the blood pressure if you start taking them without consulting your doctor. It is always advisable to go for natural methods like exercising or going on a proper diet plan. Like all pills, diet pills also have side effects and should be avoided at any cost.

Myth #6 – Sauna helps lose fat

This one is a very believable myth as it offers a “short cut” that sounds very scientific and natural. Some people are led to believe that sauna can help them lose fat in a natural and fun way. All the reasons provided by people who advise Sauna for weight loss, sound so genuine. Steam is natural so that builds a positive picture, the temperature is high so it only makes sense that it can burn the fat. And then it is so much fun that there’s no reason to not try it. But none of this is true.

The bigger irony here is that you do lose weight after regular sauna sessions. However, it isn’t because you have lost any body fat. It is so because the Sauna or steam rooms increase the body temperature which makes you sweat profusely. As you lose water from your body, it results in weight loss.

Water weights are easily removable but then it is equally easy to add it back. So the weight loss experienced after the sauna is short-lived and it can’t be a long-term strategy to lose weight.

Dieting in control by replacing unhealthy food with healthy food is a good way to lose weight. But many tend to take dieting very seriously and then end up in bad health. You must avoid skipping meals if you are trying to lose some inches from around your waist.

Studies have proven that people who skip meals, especially breakfast, tend to put on more weight in the future. The fact of the matter is that you are going to gain weight quickly once you start having your breakfast again.

Also, an extreme diet will show bad results after few months by making you very weak and you might even start gaining weight after 7 to 8 months.
