The high-spirited New Zealander surprised everyone with his performance in the IPL 2020 season. He has remained subdued while playing with Delhi Capitals and Kolkata Knight Riders earlier but seems like his fortunes changed with Mumbai Indians.
The combination of Bumrah and Trent worked like a charm for the Mumbai Indians. Bumrah was second on the wickets table with 27 wickets whereas Boult was no.3 on the table of highest wicket takers in IPL 2020.
There are 2 key reasons for you to look at adding Trent Boult to your fantasy cricket league. First, the left-arm pacer has loads of international cricket experience and that really helped him clinch those 25 wickets in 2020. Secondly, he is an excellent fielder and works really hard in the field. He’s famous for his amazing catches.
Underdog to watch for – Anrich Nortje
The South-African pacer debuted in IPL 2020 and playing for Delhi Capitals he wreaked havoc on the opponents. He made 22 dismissals in his first season of IPL and landed up the 4th position on the wickets table.
It will be interesting to watch him play in the initial few matches to see if he can replicate his success in 2021. If he does then he will once again prove to be a great asset for Delhi Capitals and you should definitely pick him up for your fantasy league.
All signs indicate that Delhi Capitals is again going to make it to the semi-finals at least so each of their players will play a lot of matches and hence a lot of points for you.
Most importantly, while choosing your favorite bowler keep in mind that the Covid restrictions have affected the performance of bowlers more than batsmen. Therefore any bowler who was successful in taking more wickets in IPL 2020 has a higher chance of rising to the top in 2021 as well since the restrictions continue.
