HIT The First Case review: Rajkummar Rao brings his A-game In This Thriller

Many people think that HIT is simply one of the many Hindi remakes of south films floating around. However, the movie is more than that. The slightly over-the-top murder mystery and setting up a potential franchise make the movie even more interesting and entertaining.

HIT – The First Case (Hindi) Review: Plot Summary

Vikram aka Rajkummar Rao is an officer at the Homicide Intervention Team in Rajasthan, with an extremely traumatic past. The past trauma takes a toll on his health and affects his work. Despite his doctor and girlfriend Neha’s (Sanya Malhotra) petition, Vikram doesn’t want to quit the job. He plans to take a 3-month holiday instead.

When Vikram goes away, a girl named Preeti goes missing, and the case goes to HIT. Neha, who finds a clue in her case, also goes missing. Vikram has to end his holiday abruptly and return to work on the case. Everyone, including him, is a suspect with a motive.

HIT Movie Review: Star Performance

Rajkummar Rao by now has made a record of being the best part of mediocre films. He does fantastic job throwing mean punchlines. Sanya Malhotra exists only to be kidnapped and found. It’s a cameo with no backstory.

HIT is a well-made thriller that keeps you guessing till the end. Liked this post? Don’t forget to check out our other short stories in our Quick Read section
