Parents usually tell their children to limit their screen time and play fewer mobile games. In Delhi, however, a mobile game may have saved the life of a 16-year-old girl. The game in question is Garena Freefire, which is one of India’s most popular mobile games. Let’s find out how they helped!
How Garena Free Fire Helped Delhi Police Find Missing Girl?
A 16-year-old girl has been missing in Delhi since August 14, according to reports. The girl’s mother reported her daughter missing on August 14 at around 5.30 p.m. at the Chanakyapuri Police Station. Police formed a team to search for the girl after receiving the complaint. Because the girl was not using any technology, it was technically impossible to track her down.

A team of Delhi Police officers was formed to track down the woman. They discovered that the girl was a Freefire fan. They also discovered that she was in contact with game players. After examining the girl’s cell phone, police discovered that she had been playing the online game ‘Free Fire’ with another player, Vikram Chauhan, a resident of Rajasthan.
The police also investigated the call recording of her father’s cell phone, which she had frequently used. “We got to know that she was in touch with Vikram Chauhan, a resident of Rajasthan. Vikram was contacted. He told the police that the girl called him using the cell phone of an autorickshaw driver. She told Chauhan that she was near Sarojini Nagar situated in Ram Nagar temple. A police team was sent there but she was not found,” the police said.
Putting the auto driver’s phone under surveillance aided police in reaching Gurudwara Bangla Sahib, where the girl was discovered.
“The girl told the police that she was angry with her mother over some issues. She then ran away from the house. She went to Sarojini Nagar and then came to Bangla Sahib. There she used the cell phone of a Sewadar and called her friend again. We have handed her over to her parents,” said the police.
The girl was later handed over to her family in good health. Liked this post? Don’t forget to check out our other short stories in our Quick Read section
