Dosa Printer? Viral video of gadget ‘printing’ crispy dosas leaves internet stunned

Technology advances by the day, and with the constant need to create new things to make humans’ lives easier, we get to see machines and gadgets that we never imagined would exist one day. We’ve come a long way from roti makers to dishwashers. To add to this long list, we now have a new machine to help with kitchen work.

About Dosa Printer

Making perfectly round dosas is a skill that few people have mastered. While the true flavour of dosa is found in the batter rather than the shape, many South Indian food enthusiasts believe that a dosa must be crisp. Several companies have created dosa-making tools that eliminate the need to heat the skillet and wrestle with the batter. One of these, which is currently going viral online, has been dubbed a “dosa printer” because it can quickly and easily produce crispy, thin dosas.

Footage of the dosa maker’s operation has been widely shared on Twitter, garnering both praise and criticism. The automated dosa maker was created by Chennai-based Evochef. The video has gained 58K views so far.

Customers can select how thick and crispy they want their dosa by pressing a button. They can also add extras like cheese, butter, or ghee. While it may appear to be a dream device for people who love to eat but hate to cook, the internet isn’t overly impressed. Netizens gave the device mixed reviews, with many saying it was completely unnecessary.
