Did Nostradamus predict Corona Virus pandemic?
Nostradamus was a French astrologer, physician, and reputed seer who lived in 16th-century France. He is also known as Michel de Notredame and Nostredame. The details of his life are not always transparent, and they are fiercely debated among modern Nostradamus followers and critics.
As per most of his Biographies, in 1522 he left home to study medicine in Montpellier. Before practicing as a physician throughout southern France he has worked as a professor of medicine. Over the years, with his extraordinary knowledge, he gained some fame in his treatment of bubonic plague sufferers.
There have been a lot of social media posts claiming that Nostradamus has predicted Coronavirus Pandemic. A lot of people have shared the following text
“There will be a twin year (2020) from which will arise a queen (corona) who will come from the east (China) and who will spread a plague (virus) in the darkness of night, on a country with 7 hills (Italy) and will transform the twilight of men into dust (death), to destroy and ruin the world. It will be the end of the world economy as you know it.”
As per the fact-checkers at Snopes, there is no evidence to support the claim Nostradamus wrote such words. The passage is too long to be one of his quatrains and does not feature in his 1555 book Les Propheties.
As per Snopes: “Nostradamus wrote a lot of stuff so general – and obscure – that with the help of a little imagination – and some liberal interpretations from the original French – people have claimed he has ‘predicted’ nearly every event of significance since the mid-16th century.
“This particular viral prediction was not expressed in quatrain form, nor could we find anything like it published in ‘Les Prophéties’. “We also found no mention of this supposed prophecy prior to the events of early 2020, which generally indicates it is a modern hoax.”
So this one doesn’t seem to be true, however, several of Nostradamus predictions have been linked to events in human history. Here are a few for you to ponder upon…

The Great Fire of London
According to Nostradamus Prediction
“The blood of the just will be demanded of London
Burnt by fire in the year ’66
The ancient Lady will fall from her high place
And many of the same sect will be killed.”
What actually happened :
On 2nd September A fire started in the King’s bakery in Pudding Lane near London Bridge. Those Days fires were quite a common occurrence in those days. Soon the fire turned into a three-day outburst that consumed the city. Scared people tried to leave the city and poured down to the River Thames in an attempt to escape by boat.
By the 4th of September half of London was in flames. On September 5, the fire slackened, and on September 6 it was brought under control. That evening, flames again burst forth in the Temple. The Great Fire of London destroyed 13,000 houses, around 90 churches, and scores of public buildings.
Hitler

Hitler was born on April 20, 1889, in Austria, which is in Western Europe
Adolf Hitler was chancellor of Germany from 1933 to 1945, serving as dictator and leader of the Nazi Party, or National Socialist German Workers Party, for the bulk of his time in power.
In 1913, Hitler relocated to Munich. At the outbreak of World War I, he applied to serve in the German army. After World War I, Hitler returned to Munich and continued to work for the German military.
Between the start of World War II, in 1939, and its end, in 1945, Nazis and their collaborators were responsible for the deaths of at least 11 million noncombatants, including about six million Jews, representing two-thirds of the Jewish population in Europe.
French Revolution
According to Nostradamus Prediction
“From the enslaved populace, songs,
Chants and demands
While princes and lords are held captive in prisons.
These will in the future by headless idiots
Be received as divine prayers.“
What actually happened :
The Revolution of 1789 was a period of time in France when the people overthrew the monarchy and took control of the government.
The revolutionaries stormed a prison called the Bastille. The revolution came to an end in 1799 when a general named Napoleon overthrew the revolutionary government and established the French Consulate.
The Atomic Bomb
According to Nostradamus Prediction
“Near the gates and within two cities
There will be scourges the like of which was never seen,
Famine within plague, people put out by steel,
Crying to the great immortal God for relief.“
What actually happened :
The United States dropped two atomic weapons on the island of Japan, in Hiroshima and Nagasaki in August 1945.
The cities were destroyed, and those who survived the blast suffered from radiation poisoning. After that Japan also went through a severe food shortage
Napoleon

“PAU, NAY, LORON will be more of fire than of the blood,
To swim in praise, the great one to flee to the confluence.
He will refuse entry to the Piuses,
The depraved ones and the Durance will keep them imprisoned.”
What actually happened :
Napoleon Bonaparte was born in Ajaccio, Corsica, on the 15th of August 1769. Born two years before it would have been Italian as the Mediterranean island became part of France in 1767.
During the 10 years of his reign, he successfully conquered Spain, Germany, Poland, Austria, and Italy.
Pau, Nay and Oloron – three towns in southern France. This refers to his non-noble lineage and the speaks to Popes Pius VI and VII, both imprisoned by Napoleon.
Death of Henry II
According to Nostradamus Prediction
“The young lion will overcome the older one, On the field of combat in a single battle; He will pierce his eyes through a golden cage, Two wounds made one, then he dies a cruel death.”
What actually happened :
Henry II was an avid hunter and a participant in jousts and tournaments. On 30 June 1559, a tournament was held to celebrate the marriage of his daughter Elisabeth of Valois to King Philip II of Spain.
King Henry II of France lined up to joust Gabriel, Comte de Montgomery, who was six years his junior. Two shards, one through the eye, and one through the temple lodged in the king’s head. Before dying, Henry suffered for 10 days.
Louis Pasteur
According to Nostradamus Prediction
“The lost thing is discovered, hidden for many centuries. Pasteur will be celebrated almost as a God-like figure. This is when the moon completes her great cycle, But by other rumors he shall be dishonored.”
What actually happened :
Louis Pasteur was a French biologist, microbiologist and chemist renowned for his discoveries of the principles of vaccination, microbial fermentation and pasteurization.
He reduced mortality from puerperal fever and created the first vaccines for rabies and anthrax.
The science historian Gerald L. Geison ran a story in the New York Times in 1995, demonstrating that Pasteur gave a misleading account of his preparation of the anthrax vaccine.
The article alleged that he incorporated a rival’s findings to make his anthrax vaccine functional, thus dishonouring the famous scientist.
11 Sept 2001
According to Nostradamus Prediction

What actually happened :
On September 11, 2001, the two towers of the World Trade Center were attacked in New York City.
The Challenger explosion
According to Nostradamus Prediction
“From the human flock nine will be sent away, Separated from judgment and counsel: Their fate will be sealed on departure Kappa, Thita, Lambda the banished dead err.”
What actually happened :
Space Shuttle Challenger broke apart 73 seconds after takeoff on 28 January 1986. It killed all the astronauts on board. It was told that the cause of the crash was a defective O-ring made by a contractor company by the name of Morton – Thiokol and some believers try and arrange the letters from Kappa, Theta and Lamda to fit the name of the company.
John F. Kennedy and Bobby Kennedy assassinations
According to Nostradamus Prediction
“The ancient task will be completed From on high, evil will fall on the great man A dead innocent will be accused of the deed The guilty one will remain in the mist.”
What actually happened :
On November 22, 1963, while visiting Dallas, the president was gunned down from roof-top so his death did come from “on high”. The bullet entered his head from the roof level. The man accused of the crime, Lee Harvey Oswald, didn’t live long enough to face trial and was killed while in police custody. Oswald also persistently claimed he was innocent. Even today, no one knows for sure who killed JFK.
