Dogs aren’t called “Man’s best friend” just like that. They are probably the best pets as they can emotionally connect with humans. However, if your expectations for a pet dog include it to be a loyal, cheerful, obedient companion with unconditional love, not all dogs are for you. Some dogs tend to get aggressive, need special training and are just well off in the wild. American Pitbull Terrier – Most aggressive of all dangerous dog breeds

Although a popular pet choice in India, these aren’t dogs for every household. American Pitbull Terriers are mainly used by the armed forces or for fights and you’ll find it difficult to train them even with prior experience.

Currently the most dangerous dogs in the world, it has also been noticed that Pitbulls in India are often abandoned or left in shelter homes due to their aggressiveness.

Rottweilers

With one of the worst tempers, Rottweilers aren’t your usual family dogs. They need to be trained and controlled continuously to prevent their fatal attack. Though they’re the most popular choice for guard dogs in India, they are also the second most dangerous dogs in the world so if you’re planning to get one, give it a second thought!

German Shepherds

German shepherds have one of the worst tempers and are definitely not recommended if you’re a first-time dog owner! While the cute look of the puppies can be tempting, german shepherds grow up to be large dogs with one of the most powerful jaws.

With improper training, they can cause fatal attacks. A german shepherd is also high maintenance and needs a lot of space to be at it’s best self.

Doberman Pinscher

Without proper training, Dobermans can get quite aggressive, especially at strangers and unknown children. They are also known to bite frequently and thus, aren’t really the ideal pets!

Akitas

Bred to hunt other animals, Akitas are quite aggressive and can seriously hurt even the people they know. However, that’s only when they’re messed with and not properly trained.

Akitas can be pets only when trained carefully with a lot of patience. They’re also prone to harming other animals so if you have other pets, Akitas aren’t for you!

Mastiffs

Courageous, territorial and one of the heaviest dogs, mastiffs are known for their violent attacks. Like most other dangerous dogs, mastiffs can be petted with proper training too but it’s better to stay away if you’re a first-time owner or do not have enough time to provide for its special needs.

It has often been noticed that these dangerous dogs are left at the shelter by their owners due to their aggressive behaviors. Most of these dogs were bred as hunter/fight dogs and, hence, they aren’t fir for small modern-day homes. Confined spaces and little activity makes them more aggressive. Also, remember to check the climatic and emotional requirements of a dog before getting yourself one!
