Upcoming Marvel Studios movies that you shouldn’t miss!
Can we ever get enough of Marvel movies? Of course not! There is a whole bunch of upcoming Marvel Studios movies for 2021 and 2022. Some of them are sequels of superhero movies that we have already seen but a few of them will be seen for the first time. My personal favorite – The Eternals.
Well for the fans of the Marvel studios we bring to you our top picks from the upcoming Marvel Studios movies that you should not miss at any cost. So let’s just get on with it!
Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings
Based on the character of Shang-Chi the film will be Marvel’s first Asian hero’s movie. The film will be based on the 1970’s comic by Steve Englehart and the story revolves around Shang-Chi as a son of Fu Manchu. Our superhero is the best in Kung-Fu, trained and raised by his father.
But when he finds it that his dad is evil and the villain of the story he turns against him. Talking about the Ten Rings in the title, you’d recall that it was mentioned as the Ten Rings terrorist organization in Iron Man. So our hero in this movie might have to fight with this organization which will be led by Mandarin
Cast: Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton the film will have Simu Liu playing the role of Shang-Chi and we will see Awkwafina, and Tony Leung as the real Mandarin along with others.
Release Date: The release date of the movie has been changed many times because of the pandemic and virus but, for now, it is said that the movie will release on July 9, 2021.
Untitled Spiderman movie sequel
The past 2 films of the franchise we super hit and now the fans just can’t wait for the third Tom Holland Spider-Man film. There’s a talk that Doctor Strange will make an appearance in the movie and when that happens things become crazy in any movie. This Spider-verse movie will also be full of action. With the heroes and villains from the past, traveling between universes, it’s going to be a complete entertainer.
Cast: With the opening of the multiverse we would get to see Jamie Foxx as Electro from The Amazing Spider-Man 2. Along with him, Alfred Molina will be seen as Doc Ock from The Spider-Man 2. Even Andrew Garfield, from the previous Spider-Man movie, will make an appearance. Tobey Maguire will also be seen in this movie along with others.
Release Date: The movie faced many issues in the beginning, but now the shoot is taking place smoothly. The hitherto untitled movie is all set to release on December 17, 2021.
Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness
The fans are overwhelmed with the upcoming sequel of Doctor Strange. The mention of “multiverse” in the title has everyone’s hopes going high. Outgoing Director Derrickson called the sequel as the first “scary” MCU film. But the film is still on track as Sam Raimi took the helm. We are definitely in for some madness with the characters moving between multiverses and affecting the time-space continuum, like all Dr. Strange movies.
Cast: As mentioned before Benedict Cumberbatch will be playing the role of Doctor Strange and co-star, Elizabeth Olsen, as Scarlet Witch. Olsen has recently appeared in WandaVision, a webseries from Marvel Studios. Along with them, we will see Rachel McAdams, Benedict Wong, and Chiwetel Ejiofor in the film!
Release date: The movie is said to be released on March 25, 2022.
Black Widow
After the end of her character in the “Avengers Endgame”, fans were eagerly waiting to know about the mysterious past of the Black Widow. Well, the film got delayed for over a year now but the team is busy wrapping up the shoot now. We will finally get to know Black Widow’s background story very soon.
Scarlett Johansson has acted in 6 marvel movies but this is the first time she is playing the lead in a Marvel movie. We will know everything about her character’s part in the Civil war, her teenage life, and everything about her past in this film.
Cast: Scarlett Johansson will play Black Widow and we will also see Rachel Weisz, Florence Pugh, and David Harbour who will be playing their roles as fellow assassins.
Release Date: The movie will be releasing on May 7, 2021.
The Eternals
Based on the comic by Jack Kirby, the story revolves around the Eternals. Eternals are immortals and have superpowers. They were created by the gold people from ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ to protect the world. They cannot be destroyed completely. Even when they become tiny molecules they can regenerate. They have been doing their task of protecting the earth and fighting Deviants who too have powers like the Eternals. I can’t wait to watch this super cool superhero movie!
Cast: We will see Gemma Chan as Sersi along with Richard Madden, Kumail Nanjiani, Lauren Ridloff, Brian Tyree Henry as Ikaris, Kingo, Makkari, and Phastos respectively. And guess what? Salma Hayek will be seen as Ajak and Angelina Jolie will appear as Thena. Lia McHugh, Don Lee, Kit Harington will be playing Sprite, Gilgamesh, and Dane Whitman respectively.
Release Date: The movie is going to release on November 5, 2021.
Thor: Love and Thunder
Director Taika Waititi is all set to return with Thor 4. We’ve also got to learn that Natalie Portman is all set to return as Jane Foster and she will be the first-ever known female Thor. The villain of the film is Gorr the God Butcher, an alien man. He lost his entire family because of a weapon that he now uses to fight the Gods of the universe.
Cast: Chris Hemsworth will be playing Thor, as usual, and we will see Natalie Portman also as a superhero for the first time. Tessa Thompson continues to play her character Valkyrie. Christian Bale will be playing the role of Gorr the God Butcher and that makes the movie even more interesting.
Release date: We will get to watch the movie on May 6, 2022.
