Bluesky

Jack Dorsey, the creator of Twitter, has launched a closed beta version of his new app called Bluesky on the App Store. Bluesky will be an invite-only app, and it is expected to face competition from other Twitter alternatives like Mastodon. Users who are interested in trying out the new app can sign up for the waitlist by providing their email addresses. Bluesky was first started in 2019 as a side project funded by Twitter and was led by Jack Dorsey, who was the co-founder and CEO of Twitter at the time. Dorsey’s goal with the project was to create a more open and decentralized alternative to the increasingly centralized Twitter platform. In 2021, Bluesky became its own separate company after being spun off from Twitter.
