OnePlus Nord: Is it worth the price?

OnePlus has launched its most affordable smartphone in a range of 25k-30k depending on ram and storage and this phone comes with really amazing specs.

The first impression of OnePlus Nord

Equipped with a 5G processor, it comes with a 90Hz display with a 48-megapixel camera with a total of 6 camera setup on the whole phone (4 in the back and 2 in front) and with OIS (optical image stabilization) which helps in shooting really stable videos like other flagship phones. It comes with 60W warp charging which gives a day power in 30mins.

No doubt, the Nord will make you think twice before buying any other hyped phones like apple or Samsung.

OnePlus Nord Design

OnePlus have paid extra attention while designing Nord while the premium touch is familiar like other OnePlus devices but it has a plastic frame instead of having a metal frame cause of dropping the cost of Nord and metal could’ve felt more premium.

It is slimmer than other phones in the market which makes it more comfortable in hand and easy to use from other wide phones like iPhone XR or X.

OnePlus Nord Display

The OnePlus Nord features a 6.44 inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2400X1080 pixels. There are a 90Hz refresh rate and aspect ratio of 20:9 which makes it easy to hold from other expensive phones and it is getting updates for the betterment of the screen.

Just so you understand refresh rate better, a high refresh rate like 90Hz (or more) means a smoother experience while scrolling and a lot better rendering of animations when compared with the average 60Hz refresh rate panel. It is worth mentioning that OnePlus was the first company to introduce the 90Hz refresh rate in smartphones.

OnePlus Nord Camera

OnePlus Nord comes with a 48MP Sony IMX586 main sensor with IOS.
The device supports 4k video recording at 30fps and 1080p video at 60fps.

The overall camera quality is comparable to iPhone XR and 11 but they are not always impressive cause Nord is still getting updates for its optimization. It is quite good under decent lightning conditions but low light will not impress you always.

Nord comes with dual front cameras with 32MP and 8MP sensors the front camera offers a wide selfie and a portrait selfie which is not really possible in other phones at this price. If you are a selfie person then this is going to be a winning feature for you.

OnePlus Nord Specs

It runs on OxygenOS 10.5 as of now and its getting updates which are improving many things in the phone like a camera with better optimization, a screen with improved colors, and improvements in battery optimization Nord is powered by snapdragon 765G (this is the difference between Nord and 7t.

OnePlus 7t has a more powerful processor (865g) but the Nord processor is 5g with Adreno620GPU one of the best features of this device is the smooth and clean interface with hundreds of customization options which is the best thing and the reason they are getting this much hype.

So unless you are very particular about the metal frame I think this phone packs all the power features (I personally loved the warp charging and dual front cameras) at an amazing price range of ₹ 25,000 – ₹30,000.

It is definitely value for money and if you are considering a phone purchase then you must give it a thought.
