In an interview, she opened up about her character’s traits and her own values. When questioned about how she would respond if her boyfriend engaged with others online, Suhana highlighted the significance of loyalty and expressed her preference for a committed and faithful partner. In a recent interview, Suhana Khan, portraying Veronica in “The Archies,” was posed a hypothetical question about Veronica’s reaction if her boyfriend messaged other girls. Suhana playfully responded in character, saying that Veronica already has many admirers pursuing her, so she might engage with other boys as well. This witty response showcases Suhana’s understanding of her onscreen character and adds a lighthearted touch to the interview.

This distinction between her real-life values and her character’s attitude reflects Suhana’s perspective on relationships. The Archies

Zoya Akhtar directs “The Archies,” featuring not only Suhana Khan but also marking the acting debut of Agastya Nanda, Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson, and Khushi Kapoor, the younger daughter of Sridevi and sister of Janhvi Kapoor. In the film, Agastya portrays Archie Andrews, while Khushi Kapoor takes on the role of Betty Cooper. The cast also includes Vedang Raina, Yuvraj Menda, Mihir Ahuja, and Aditi Dot. This movie brings together a young ensemble cast for a fresh take on the characters from the popular Archie Comics series.

Talking about the casting of the film, Zoya also told the magazine, “For me, when I’m casting actors, the essence of the characters is very important.”

“And that’s what I look for in someone who comes to audition for a role. Is that essence there? You can manipulate everything else to some extent, but if that essence is not there you’re setting yourself up for failure. It took a lot of auditions to find the right cast. In fact, two of them even came from Instagram and YouTube,” she added.

Zoya Akhtar not only directs but also co-writes “The Archies” alongside Reema Kagti and Ayesha Devitre. The movie is a collaboration between Netflix India, Zoya and Reema’s production company Tiger Baby, Archie Comics, and Graphic India.
