Celebs who were slapped in Public

Celebrities run the risk of turning just about any event of their life into a news item. The paparazzi tail them endlessly to spot them at a restaurant, spa, salon, party or meeting their friends or co-actors. This makes most celebs act with extra caution when out in the public so as to not attract any negative publicity.

There are, however, moments when they lose control or get in a situation that puts them in the centre of the limelight, for all wrong reasons. Somehow slapping in public has become very fashionable and the celebs haven’t been untouched by this nasty trend. Here are a few celebs that were caught in the act or a victim.

Karan Singh Grover

Karan Singh Grover is an Indian model and actor.

Grover got a slap from Actress Jennifer Winget on the set of “Dil Mil Gayye”. The Reason for slap was found that Karan was cheating on her with Shraddha and Nicole. It was also reported that for several months the couple didn’t talk to each other and used to shoot for their scenes separately.

The couple split within a short span of time. Jennifer always maintained silence on her separation with Karan but finally spoke about the same. The actress stated that she has moved on in life.

Gauhar Khan

Gauhar Khan was once slapped in a public interview by one of her fans. The reason he gave for slapping her was abominable as he said she was wearing a short skirt.

The man was later identified as Mohammad Akil Malik, whom the security was unable to stop him as his action was very swift. Later he tried to justify his reaction by saying that being a Muslim, Gauhar should not wear such revealing clothes.

According to reports, the accused was, later, interviewed by a vernacular news channel where he alleged that the entire incident was planned like a film script and Khan had promised to find him a role in Salman Khan’s Dabangg 3 if he agreed to slap her in front of the audience to help her garner some limelight. There was no proof, however, to support his theory.

Sushant Singh Rajput

Sushant was slapped by Ankita Lokhande. Rajput and Ankita were not married but they were in a serious relationship for more than 5 years. The exact reason for the slap is not known but according to a few portals they were seen arguing on some topic.

Later Actress denied reports of slapping her boyfriend Sushant Singh Rajput and made a statement “I can never ever slap Sushant”. When Sushant was asked about the same, he said he does a lot of things every day for which he must be slapped but fortunately this never happened.

Akshay Kumar

In 2003, Priyanka Chopra debuted in Bollywood with film Andaz. Akshay was rumoured to have an extra-marital affair with Priyanka as while romancing on-screen, they came closer in real life too.

They had signed up many films together like Mujhse Shadi Karogi, Waqt: The Race Against Time and Aitraaz. All this made twinkle annoyed with Akshay and blamed him that he is cheating on her.

Twinkle reached on the set of Waqt, where they both had a heated argument, she was so angry with Akshay that she slapped him. Later he promised her that, he will not sign any film with Priyanka.
