Unsung Heroes Of COVID-19

When the going gets tough, the tough get going

In these tough times, there is a need for all humankind to come together and fight the epidemic. But having said that few of us have taken the ownership to fight the virus head-on.

Being on the frontlines these unsung heroes and warriors are creating history to save mankind from this epidemic. Doctors, nurses, health workers, police, cleaners, NGO’s and volunteers battle every day to prevent the spread of coronavirus. Many good and inspiring stories and heroes have sprung in the past few days which are no less than blessings for some.

Here are some of the stories that have led to the spirits not going dull.

“Sultan” Of Masks

Sultan, a tailor by profession in UP has been doing his part as he sewed more than 10,000 face masks and distributed them to the villagers for free to contain the spread of Covid-19. The masks are being made keeping in mind the condition of the villagers i.e. these masks can be boiled in hot water and sanitized to be reused after every 8 hours of use. This technique will help in avoiding extra costs.

DM-SP – The Lockdown Angel

The DM-SP of Jamui district in Bihar personally delivered food items and daily needs items to an old lady in the village who’s son was not able to earn due to lockdown. He got to learn about the old lady and his son through social media and he immediately took on himself to serve the family.

The Heroes Of Bhilwara

Bhilwara was the only city to show a decline in the number of Covid-19 cases when the whole country was experiencing rapid growth. IAS officer Tina Debi ordered city-wide lockdown much before PM Narendra Modi made the move. The city went without a new case for more than 10 days. Currently out of 34 cases 28 have been cured. Even the ambassador of Canada to India has suggested the same ruthless model to their country.

Besides these popular stories and contributors, there are many other Samaritans who are risking their lives to save ours, who are working day in, day out to get our country out of this epidemic. Read through

A Big Cheer, from team Piccle, for all the Corona Bravehearts, especially those who will never make headlines and yet continue to serve the community and the nation.
