Every year, the festival of lights, Diwali, brings with it a lot of joy and happiness. It provides us with an excuse to clean our homes, reconnect with long-lost friends, binge on sweets, take a vacation from work, and so on. Over-Decoration

Avoid using excessive decoration. It distracts people and can even cause eye pain. A few diyas and possibly a few lights are sufficient to create a festive atmosphere without overpowering your home.

Do not Panic

If something goes wrong, don’t panic. If your entire pulav goes wrong, make sure to order something from somewhere else. Accidents happen, and if you need to vent, do so after the party is over. Otherwise, you’ll leave everyone with a sour taste in their mouth.

Restricted Bar Time

If there are a lot of people, don’t leave the bar open for too long. If someone gets drunk and causes a commotion, even if it is entertaining for some of us, it is an extremely unpleasant sight. You can drink as much as you want if it’s a small gathering.

Don’t Gamble Drunk

If you’re drunk, don’t gamble too much. It causes you to lose your inhibitions, which may lead you to believe that your next round will be the one in which you reclaim your lost booty.

No Food Wastage

Always get a rough estimate of how much food you’ll need and then make 15% more. This is due to the fact that some people binge eat or focus solely on one dish. To avoid embarrassment, make sure there are some leftovers at the end.

Avoid Too Many Games

Don’t overburden your guests with games or make them feel like props. A little bit of everything is fine, but if you make your guests feel like they’re at a school function or are kids who just want to play games for hours, you’re not going to be a nice host.

Do not order or make the food you have never tried before

If you want to serve something fancy, don’t make or order food you’ve never tried before. Wonderful concept! However, when throwing a party, it’s better to be safe than sorry. Serve a tried-and-true dish.

Do not push your guests

Games are a great way to keep your guests entertained, but they should never be the center of attention. If they want to play, that’s fine; if not, let them enjoy themselves in their own way.

Do not get drunk

You must not overdrink or gamble as a host. Your responsibilities extend beyond simply enjoying and entertaining your audience. You must keep an eye on everyone.

Avoid party if pressed on a budget

Diwali parties are all about reuniting, exchanging gifts, food, and games; it must not feel like a burden especially when you are tight on budget. It’s better to avoid a party rather than cry about your expenses the next day.
