Indians have long been captivated by foreign brands which, axiomatically, has discouraged local brands. Even the ones that managed to break through, had to take the assistance of foreign names. The foreign names along with advertisements featuring foreigners and premium pricing have created an impression in the mind of the consumers that these brands are not Indian.
