Trailer out now for “House of the Dragon” – The GoT Prequel
For all those GoT fans out there, here is a piece of good news! The official trailer for the GoT prequel – House of the Dragon – is out now. This show was the most awaited as the story of House Targaryen will be told. The house of the Dragon A.k.a the House that was reigned by the Mother of Dragons, Daenerys Targaryen.
For all the GOT lovers, to know the story of the House of dragons is a big deal. The show will soon be coming to HBO and HBO Max.
What will it be about?
This is based on the book Fire & Blood by George R.R. Martin. This show will tell us the story, approximately 300 years ago, before The Game of Thrones.
It will talk about the story of House Targaryen, which is the house of Daenerys Targaryen, the Mother of Dragons herself. She one of the strongest characters in the show and probably one of the most loved. Basically, we will know how it all began in a lot of detail. Now isn’t that exciting?!
Who is behind the scenes?
The co-creators of the show are Martin and Ryan Condal (Colony, Hercules).
The showrunners are Miguel Sapochnik and Condal. They are also the executive producers with Martin, Vince Gerardis, Sara Lee Hess, and Ron Schmidt.
Sapochnik won an Emmy and DGA honors for the episode “Battle of the Bastards”. He was also nominated for another Emmy for directing the episode ” The Long Night” and even won an Emmy for the Best Drama Series as the executive producer of the final season.
Clare Kilner and Geeta V. Patel are also directing the series. Greg Yaitanes (Banshee, House) is a director and co-executive producer.
The cast?
The cast includes Paddy Considine who is in the HBO shows, Third Day and The Outsider, Ready Player One actress Olivia Cooke, Truth Seekers fame Emma D’Arcy, and even Matt Smith who was seen in The Crown and Doctor Who.
What roles will they play?
Paddy Considine will play King Viserys Targaryen. He was chosen by the lords of Westeros to come after the Old King, Jaehaerys Targaryen at the Great Council at Harrenhal. He plays a very kind, warm and decent man. His only wish is to carry forward his grandfather’s legacy, but as we’ve seen in Game of Thrones, good men don’t always make the best kings.
Olivia Cooke as Alicent Hightower. She is the daughter of Otto Hightower, who is the Hand of the King, she is the most attractive woman in all the Seven Kingdoms. She was raised close to the king and his best innermost circle and she stayed in the Red Keep. She is graceful and has a keen political awareness.
Emma D’Arcy as Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen. She is the king’s first-born child. She is of pure Valyrian blood, and she is an amazing dragonrider. She had everything yet she was not born a man.
Matt Smith as Prince Daemon Targaryen. He was the younger brother of King Viserys and successor to the throne, Daemon is an incomparable fighter and a dragon rider who has the true blood of the dragon.

While the House of the Dragon release date isn’t confirmed yet, we estimate that the show will be ready for release by early 2022, although the pandemic situation can cause unforeseen delays.
